On behalf of the entire Nursery staff and myself, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you.
Our school is a happy and friendly place. As you know, children learn through play and we provide a varied curriculum, in line with the Department of Education Enriched Curriculum Guidelines, set in a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment where your child can develop and progress whilst learning to mix with other children. Matt Talbot Nursery Staff always work to establish a happy, positive and supportive relationship with parents involving them in all aspects of school life. The school operates an open door policy where parents are encouraged to discuss any concerns regarding their child’s welfare.
By the time children start Nursery, they have already had a variety of experiences and developed in a number of ways. To build upon the learning that has taken place in the home and its immediate environment, nursery staff aim to provide children with a rich variety of challenging play activities and other experiences in a stimulating environment in order to enrich and enhance their learning experiences. The focus is to allow children to learn at their own pace, gain a positive image of themselves as learners, be able to cope with uncertainty and to learn through trial and error.
